If you plan on leaving your home vacant for any period of time, whether it be a week long holiday or a 3 year post working abroad, Westhill Property Management can take care of it in your absence.

Indeed, if your home is not being checked regularly and certain requirements being met, your home insurance may become invalid.

7 Key Services

The HomeGuard service which we designed from scratch in 2005 and developed ever since, is entirely customisable. We have however, provided you with 7 typical benefits.

1. Mobile Patrols and Security Checks.

- Regular visits to your home at irregular times.
- Locks/Doors/Windows checked & kept secure.
- Qualified Risk assessment and reduction. (Advice supplied by retired Grampian Police officer)
- Key Holding

2. Exterior Maintenance.

- Garden care.
- Windows cleaned.
- Kept to look occupied.
- Repairs.

3. Interior Maintenance.

- Cleaning.
- Plant watering.
- Central Heating monitoring to ensure pipes don't burst and insurance is kept valid.

4. Mail Removal and Forwarding.

- All mail deliveries will be removed from behind the door and placed in a safe place.
- Alternatively, this mail can be forwarded.
- Junk mail can be taken away for recycling.

5. Phone Calls

- If you're leaving a phone/answering machine connected at the property, calls can be noted and passed on.

6. Shopping

- If you're planning a return home and need groceries, we can provide them in advance.

7. 24/7 Local Presence For General Errands & Emergencies

- E.g. Taking gas and electricity readings.
- Reacting to alarm systems.
- Email us at any time with your request.

Pricing

The average monthly fee for HomeGuard is around £80. This will vary depending on distance, regularity of visits and customisation.

Our HomeGuard service is also eligible for discounts under our Friends & Family scheme. Recommend this service to others and receive a 10% discount on your own monthly fees. Invite 10 people and you will receive your own service absolutely free!
